no smoking please....

I am a non smoker. I always have been. The smell of cigarette smoke makes me want to throw up. It always has. i LOVE that restaurants no longer have smoking/non smoking sections but are just all non smoking. I mean lets be honest, the smoke didn't always know to stay on the smoking side and sometimes would creep over to the non smoking side and somehow all the non smokers were just supposed to deal with it. BLAH. I really love those rooms at the airport where smokers are supposed to go to smoke. A closed room so they can breath their own nastiness. pure gross.

There is something else i hate as much as cigarette smoke. Cursing! Not you typical throw in some curse words in a sentence every now and then (gosh, i am guilty of that for sure) but the kind that makes you sound like a totally drunk, college frat boy who is trying so hard to be "cool" but just looks and sounds like a doofas! That kind of cursing! I forgot how much i hate it until recently. I really haven't been around it since college. I don't exactly run in crowds where people use f%#$ in every sentence and as verbs, nouns, and adjectives. Until now. I have been working with a catering company for a while now. I really like it. I like the people a lot and i am very familiar with catering since i have been doing it since i was 15. BUT...the amount of people that smoke and use the "F" word (and many others) in every single sentence clearly out weighs those of us who don't. It is so annoying! There is this one guy there who I like working with except for the fact that he feels he needs to describe everything with a curse word...."the water glasses need to be f%#$ing refilled", "That B#$ch needs some more salad dressing", "the coffee tastes like a$$"....UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today I must have had a really annoyed look on my face because he asked if he was offending me. I told him he was but it is so ingrained in who he has become that he couldn't stop even when he wanted to. I think there should be a cursing/non cursing section of places. Or even better, a closed room that people who talk like that can go and converse with each other but when you leave that room and enter the real world again, you have to talk like a normal person! What do you think??

agreed! What's really amazing is kids/young adults use that language to sound older/more mature/cool, and all it does is make them sound younger and immature. I can't stand it either.
