just a few pictures...

there will be MUCH better and many more pictures to come since Barrett asked his friend Christine to take pictures of the event last night. Christine is a photographer. But here are a few to hold you over...

the story (through the eyes of Me):

Barrett was supposed to be working a tennis tournament and Aimee was supposed to be going to a PSR dinner with her mom at the church...so Aimee thought. Barrett had been planning for weeks, if not months, for this night. There was a lot of coordinating and lots of people involved so it was tricky. Aimee arrived at the church and headed through the door thinking she was going into the dinner. Aimee's brother Kyle, Allen, and myself were standing right there at the door but had our backs turned. She noticed us through the window and opened the door and come running up to give me a hug thinking I was, for some very odd reason, going to the PSR dinner too. Kyle, Allen, and I had a gift from Barrett to her. At this point, Aimee's mom snuck away to her secret spot. Aimee was so confused but opened the gift thinking it was from me. It was a few lines of a promise from Barrett although it was not signed. We then led Aimee down the hall and through the church where My parents, Barrett and my godparents, and Noah were waiting. Noah gave Aimee a rose and then they all gave her another gift. It was another framed promise from Barrett. At this point I think she was starting to figure it out because the tears starting flowing. We then all led her up the stairs where her parents were waiting for her with the last framed promise. At this point she knew. We then all led her to the church choir loft where Barrett was waiting. Barrett has surrounded the area with candles and flowers. It was so beautiful!! We let Aimee go in by herself and waited for what seemed liked hours until she came running out yelling "I'm ENGAGED". It was so sweet!!! Of course we all hugged and cried, and hugged and cried some more. Then we headed over to Bucca di Beppo for dinner in the Pope Room. It was fun to ask Aimee what she thought was going on while she was walking from place to place and kept seeing everyone. When he brother, Kyle, asked her what she thought when she saw him there since he told her just a half an hour before that he and theeir dad were going to a drum class, she said: "I thought you were here to escort me to my PSR dinner". Oh That is one of the many reasons I love Aimee!!!!!

It really was a perfect night for Barrett and Aimee. I am so glad Barrett let us all be a part of their special night. He couldn't have picked a better future sister for me!! hehe

Best Wishes Barrett and Aimee...we love you!!!!
