so sweet...

One of the best times of my life was when I was the youth minister at Mary Our Queen. Sometimes it seems like forever ago and sometimes it feels like it just happened. It blows my mind to think that it really was 10 years ago when i started there. It blows my mind even more when teens of mine get married and start having babies....whoa....it makes me feel old.

8ish months ago I learned that one of my "old teens" was pregnant. She was engaged, then not engaged, and made the decision to raise the baby on her own. She had the ultrasound to find out the baby was a boy and named him Landon. Her friends threw her baby showers and quickly her house started filling up with lots of blue things. 2 days ago she was induced and her sweet sisters made these great blue signs saying "Welcome Landon" and such. Well, surprise......It's a GIRL!!!! That's right! She delivered a girl!! Everyone was shocked to say the least! So Landon became Cadence Moira. Although I haven't seen this teen in many many years, I stopped by the hospital today to say hello. I am so glad I did. I got to catch up with her and hold Cadence. I have prayed for her a lot since I left MOQ. She was always very special to me and it was so awesome...weird, but awesome to see her as a MOM!

I brought her a little girl outfit since i know she doesn't have any pink around and although I didn't take any pictures with my camera, i stole this one from her facebook page. You can't really see it but she is wearing the outfit I gave her. The shirt says " I Love Mom".
is she not the sweetest thing???
