Some people have BEAUTIFUL Christmas trees....ones that should be in magazines or show homes. I have one of those trees too and not because my decorating is amazing (it's not), and not because i have expensive ornaments (i don't) but i wouldn't trade my tree for anything because i have the best kind of ornaments....

Eric's mom calls her tree of 27 years of homemade and kid purchased ornaments her "Alzheimer's tree" (a sure memory of the kids growing up!!!!)
Oh and I'm pretty sure my mom cried when my dad said he wanted a "grown up" tree this year. She fought the good fight and sure enough we had our ornaments on the tree!!!! Keep collecting those homemade goodies - they're priceless!!!!
